It is with great pleasure that we welcome groups of foreigners and introduce them to our country, train them and develop friendly relations with them. Currently, all of this work is being jeopardized by certain ill-intentioned individuals that we met during our activities in France and abroad.
During the holiday season of 2017, OFCI received a notification from Erasmus + agency concerning Youri Bergoug, our project assistant, who is accused of «racist, xenophobic or antisemitic speech» (possibly because he denounces some practices of the Israelis and their sympathizers), «inappropriate behaviour or speech regarding young women» (an accusation, that by its deceptive nature, discredits young women’s voices), «aggressive and violent behaviour towards participants and organisers» (getting upset when faced with dishonesty of some participants and partners is not aggression or violence).
These serious allegations were denied by our partners and the participants of the projects in which Youri Bergoug participated as a group leader.
In addition, to our knowledge and that of Youri Bergoug, no police complaint has been filed against him and his criminal record is blank.
Still, the Erasmus+ French Agency has decided to freeze all our grants for the project organization in France.
This purpose of this petition is not to enable OFCI the organisation of new projects in France – we do not beg for public subsidies. The intent of this petition is to denounce the dishonest methods used by the French Agency Erasmus+, such as the long-term blocking of projects caused by unfounded allegations and the dissemination of these rumours to our potential partners.
