Our President, Abdelkader Bergoug

Co-founder of the association, Abdelkader Bergoug arrived in France in 1962, barely 6 months old. Activism in the service of the noblest causes has forged his existence and he is always ready to roll up his sleeves to support the association in the most difficult moments. His experience in the field has instilled in him various traits: wisdom, critical reflection, wisdom, creativity, critical decision-making.

Our Administration Council

Farid Baouali, Secretaire (Substitute: Malika Lebcir)
Eddine Denfer, Treasurer (Substitute: Rabah Khabzaoui)

Hajar El Ghalmi, Creative Leader (Substitute: -)

Our Team

Otto Gerlinger Velázquez
Half Spanish, half German, Otto is an OFCI intern studying International Relations and Management. He enjoys meeting new people, discovering new languages and decided to join the OFCI to improve his French. Victim of the COVID19 lockdown barely 1 week after his arrival, he works a lot on writing articles and animating our social networks.

Harri Bunnett
Harri joined us as a trainee in July 2020. She spent her quarantine posting baking photos on Instagram, like the rest of the world. A student of modern languages at Edinburgh University, she is here at OFCI to improve her French as well as learning the tricks of the trade. When she isn’t at the office or the kitchen, she is always looking for her next dance opportunity. Seriously, let her know.

Youri Bergoug
Co-founder and president of the association from 2012 to 2016, then an employee from 2016 to 2019 before taking up a voluntary activity, Youri Bergoug knows the OFCI from inside out. Equally at ease in English and French, his comfort zone is nature, the unknown lands in the East and the refugee camps in the Middle East. His duties at the OFCI have been so diverse and varied that it would be impossible to list them all here.
